We open April 25th!
We know you can’t wait. Neither can we. We are filling the greenhouse with our seedlings, and doing our annual spring cleaning. Stop by on the weekend to say hi or take a peek at some of the trees and shrubs we are beginning to put out.

We are going to have DOUBLE our normal inventory this year! We have trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs, and vegetables. We are also getting in some locally made leaf compost from Shadyside Worms, and we will have REAL double shredded, locally sourced mulch. NONE OF THAT FAKE RUBBER/COLORED STUFF!
WE WILL BE OPEN 11am – 7pm EVERY DAY!!!
SHADYSIDE NURSERY
Shadyside Nursery is a family owned business located in the Shadyside Neighborhood of Pittsburgh next door to the Harris Grill (just off of Ellsworth Avenue).
Entering our 6th year, we continue to dedicate our time to helping local gardeners find the quality plants they need for their yards and vegetable gardens. We also have a hard working team of landscapers that will help you with any landscaping or hardscaping projects you may have.
Our season begins in April and runs thru late October. Look no further for a wide selection of:

We believe in supporting small business and supporting the green economies in Pittsburgh. That’s why we also host Shadyside Worms, a local composting business, and BeeBoy, a local beekeeper. In addition to our plants and services, we also provide:
- Worm Castings: an organic and easy-to-use fertilizer
- Fresh, local (ON SITE!) Honey
You won’t be disappointed by our selection- we even have some great garden art at our nursery. Come check it out!
APRIL 30TH WE ARE HAVING A NURSERY TOUR! WE WILL BE DISCUSSING SOME GARDENING BASICS FOR BEGINNER GARDENERS AND GOING OVER THE PLANT SPECIES WE CARRY, AS WELL AS SOME INFORMATION ON OUR TERRARIUM WORKSHOPS AND MUCH MORE.
WE WILL BE HOSTING WORKSHOPS ON COMPOSTING, PLANTING, TERRARIUMS, AND OTHER SUBJECTS THROUGHOUT THE SPRING AND SUMMER .
